bronze light green patina, bought the Maison Colin in 1940, Barbedienne founder, numbered 13
Enghien, France, Gauthier group. A good bid for a realistic cast of this sensual subject. Shown at the Chicago Universal Exhibition 1893, it was placed in a special room in order not to shock puritan eyes. The Barbedienne foundry obtained the right to produce casts of “Le Baiser” and “Eternal Spring” for a 20 year period in 1898.
