Sotheby's New YorkThis portrait was executed under the clear influence of Rubens and Van Dyck who had worked in Genoa at some time. Fiasella did put a distinct Italian touch to this portrait produced in that city and the good looks of the sitter was enough an incentive for the final bidder to go well beyond the top pre-sale estimate of US $ 60,000.
