This single page of the famous Leningrad Album assembled in Persia during the 18th Century and acquired by Czar Nicholas II who offered it to the Asian Museum of Saint-Petersburg bore a pre-sale estimate of 80,000 FF. Such Islamic manuscripts are still much in demand. |
