, A strong bid for a very expressive sculpture by Pajou who was one of the greatest sculptors of the 18th Century. A pupil of Lemoyne, he also studied in Rome where he remained during twelve years and became a member of the French Academy in 1759. He decorated many monuments and produced scores of forceful marble or terracotta works.
