TREMENDOUS SUCCESS FOR FIRST DAY OF CHRISTIE'S SALE OF BERGE-ST LAURENT COLLECTION

The first session of the sale of the Yves Saint-Laurent and Pierre Bergé collection devoted to Impressionist and Modern art works totalled a record 206,154,600 euros for 59 lots sold out of 61 offered. Only two works by Picasso, including a painting executed between 1914 and 1917, carrying a too generous estimate of 25-30 million euros did not find buyers.
