Christie's New York. Thomas Eakins was above all a major painter whose works are now much sought by collectors. This artist found the use of a camera quite useful to help him achieve his paintings. His photos were artistically arranged to such a point that these are considered as remarkable works of art for enthusiastic collectors. Another study by Eakins also fetched US $ 145,000 in this sale.
