Drouot-Paris, Etude Beaussant-Lefevre. An impressive bid for Moualla who is much rated in his native Turkey. Moualla's style is rather naive and rough and if his works reach high prices it is because Turkey has had only a few good modern artists. Had he been French such gouache would have probably sold for much less.
