In June 1969, a crouching cat signed by Kwaiyoku Manatsugu from the Hindson collection fetched £ 2,800 in London in 1969 equivalent to $ 31,000 of today while a bid of $ 222,200 was recorded for a grazing horse in ivory from the end of the 18th Century signed by Tomodata again in London in 1990. During the past ten years, several netsuke pieces fetched over $ 150,000 in several auction sales.
