Wegelin Emile
(1875-1962) Nationality: Dutch Activity: Painter Average rate: Between $ 800 and 1,800 Born to Swiss parents in Lyons he met Emile Noirot with whom he worked throughout his career.
Mostly working in Lyons he also was the pupil of Pierre Montezin and travelled extensively in France, Switzerland, Italy, Germany and Britain. Wegelin was above all a painter of landscapes who loved nature He nevertheless produced still lifes at the end of his career.
Wegelin, who painted some 4000 works, exhibited his paintings at the Salon du Printemps and at the Socit Lyonnaise des Beaux-Arts where he was awarded a first prize in 1930. He also took part in exhibitions in Lyons, the French Riviera and in Switzerland.
