Mariana-Luiza started to work as a painter after reaching 45, like the great modern artist Jean Dubuffet. Though she has not reached celebrity yet, Mariana-Luiza, born in Romania and raised in France, has shown great potentiality in painting and sculpture. Humour is often present in her works as if the artist was eager to capture the good moments of life. In fact she is always looking for the extraordinary out of the ordinary associating hamburgers with fat women so often seen in U.S cities, opposing a cow to a big bird like the Concorde aircraft, representing a duck laying a ready-cooked egg or fish juggling with balloons in deep water.

Above all, Mariana-Luiza is an expressionist painter interested in abstract ideas clashing against concrete principles.

After studying art during the small French revolution of 1968, she went to London in the 1970's to learn designing but too shy to get to the stage of exhibiting her works she kept on learning during the 1980's.
Her first exhibition took place in 1989 in a French northern provincial town. Then she was admitted three times in a row to exhibit her works at the famed Salon des Artistes Français, the same institution that turned its back on Impressionist painters a century ago before changing its mind , but she thought she was not ready to sell her paintings yet.

So she continued to study feeling she needed a better style or also another zest of maturity. Now, she is ready for the big plunge into the world of business through galleries and the Internet. Beware, she might become famous before the turn of the Century and her works will be worth much more than the present US $ 500 tag on each.
