PARIS BLOOMING FOR BOOKS

Illustrated books are selling well in Paris which has confirmed its world leadership in that particular field. On November 21, 1996, in Drouot the collection of Henri Paricaud sold for 12,5 million francs (US $ 2,27 million) . A book by Blaise Cendrars, «La Prose du Transsibérien et de la Petite Jehanne de France », dated 1913 , fetched 660,000 francs (US $ 120,000) during that sale.
