A student at the Danish Royal Academy of Arts sent three works produced by his five-year-old son to an exhibition in Copenhagen without revealing the age of their author to the gallery owner.
The three paintings consisting of abstract colour dots met success since these were sold for some $ 5,000... This story shows that there is no age to be a genius or simply that amateurs have little knowledge about contemporary paintings or again that painters who paint like children (Baselitz, Basquiat, Combas, Dubuffet, Utrillo, Keith Haring, Miro among others) are probably meeting the tastes of the public.
