Gilbert Brownstone has closed his gallery, 26 rue Saint Gilles in the heart of Paris in order to set up the Gilbert Brownstone Family Foundation that will organise exhibitions in the gallery premises. Gilbert Brownstone, a Franco-American, worked for the Museum of Modern Art of Paris, was curator at the Picasso Museum in Antibes and headed the Museum of Israel in Jerusalem. He is also a member of the board of the Calder Foundation.
