Works by French artist Francis Picabia (1879-1953) have been exhibited at the Museum of Grenoble, Eastern France, from October 17th 1998 until January 3rd 1999. Picabia was certainly a great artist who was linked to the Dada movement between the 1911-1925 years. He then worked in a more conventional way after the 1930's and the works shown in Grenoble were of average, if not mediocre, quality. Picabia found his themes in many erotic magazines of the 1940's but once again his paintings were far from being appealing.
