AFTER THE FIAC
01 November 1997

The International Contemporary Art Fair (FIAC) which took place earlier in October in Paris was finally successful according to participants.
Collectors seem to be back on the French market in view of the numerous sales effected during the fair. However, only a few Japanese, American or Swiss collectors turned up during the week-long event.
It must be added that modern works by dead artists accounted much for the sales registered by dealers. CLAUDE MARUMOExpert for School of Barbizon, 19th century, Impressionist and post-Impressionist painters, buys and sells fine works. 243, rue Saint-Honoré 75001 Paris. France.Tel : 33 0142 60 08 66.
