Europos Parakas, the Residency Centre in Lithuania, offers four-week long residences six times a year. The program is open to everyone focuses on an exchange of artistic experience and acquaintance with the Lithuanian culture and traditions. While in Lithuania, residents are guided to the places that higly reveal peculiarities of the country. If artists, they can develop an individual project that may include the creation of a new work or pursuit of their individual artistic goals. We organize opportunities to communicate with local communities as well as to visit studios of Lihuanian artists.
Seminars, discussions and slide presentations are organized during the program. The program is very flexible, our aim is to
enable every resident to discover new ideas and inspirations and to spend wonderful time in Lithuania.
Europos Parkas provided excellent accommodation (cosy and comfortable single or double rooms facing the beauty of the park, separate bathroom and WC) and traditional Lihuanian dishes (three times a day), working space for artists in a workshop and outdoors.
We form small groups up to 8 people at a time in order to get the greatest comfort for communication and maximum attention for everyone's needs and wishes.
The Seventh International Sculpture Symposium will take place on 1 to 28 August, 1999.
