1818, lithographie, impression avec pierre de teinte, superbe épreuve sur velin du 1er état

Etude PIASA, Drouot-Paris, . Encore un prix hors du commun dans cette vente justifié par le fait que Géricault a produit très peu de lithographies. Celle-ci, de grande taille, valait par son état de conservation et par son sujet. Mais l'acheteur, malgré la rareté, n'a certes pas réalisé une excellente affaire en payant le prix fort.
