sent to her lover Ivan Nicolaievitch Rimsky-Korsakov, the first dated September 6th 1779, 10 pages in a 19th Century binding

Beaussant-Lefevre group, Drouot-Paris. A bid totally in tune with the value of these rare letters sent to Rimsky-Korsakov who was her lover between June 1778 and October 1779. The Empress, known as a very passionate woman had at least 20 lovers. In one of these letters she described Rimsky-Korsakov as God's best creations.
