Anschutz or Anshutz Thomas-Pollock (1851-1912) who studied at the Académie Julian in Paris.

Appleby Theodore (Born in 1923) who studied in Paris with Fernand Léger between 1950 et 1953.
He exhibited his works at the Salon des Réalités Nouvelles in 1950 and 1951.

Archer Edmund (20th Century) who studied at the Académie Colarossi in Paris in the late 1920's.

Areffi Ludmilla (20th Century) who exhibited one of her her works, an Interior, at the Salon de la Nationale in 1934

Armand Louis (Active early 20th Century) who exhibited portraits in Paris at the Salons des Artistes Français In 1926 and of the Nationale in 1928.

Arms John Taylor (Born in 1887) who worked in the Normandy, Champagne and Burgundy regions.

Armstrong David Maitland (1836-1918) who studied in Paris. He was the head of the American section at the Paris Universal exhibition in 1900 and was awarded the French Legion of Honour.

Ashford Frank Clifford (Active early 20th Century) who settled in Paris in 1909 and exhibited some of his painting at the Salon des Artistes Français in 1912.

Atkinson Alicia (Born in 1900) who exhibited a landscape in Paris at the Salon de la Nationale in 1938.

Atkinson Elizabeth-H (19th-20th Century) who studied painting at the Académie Julian in Paris.
She also exhibited there at the Salon d'Hiver.

Audubon John-James (1780 or 1785-1851) who studied painting with Jacques Louis David in Paris in 1795 and 1796.

Austin A. Everett Junior (Active early 20th Century) who studied painting in Paris.

Austin Miss Amanda P. (Active early 20th Century) who worked as a sculptor and exhibited her works in Paris at the Salons des Artistes Français and of la Nationale in 1911.

Ausubel Miss Sheva (Active early 20th Century) who exhibited a nude at the Salon des Artistes Français in 1905.

Avery Henneth-Newell (Active early 20th Century) who studied painting with Jean-Paul Laurens in 1908 in Paris.

Ayers Charles N. Austin (Active 1st half of the 20th Century) who exhibited a portrait at the Salon d'Automne in 1922.

Aylward William-James (1874- ?) who exhibited a landscape at the Salon de la Nationale in 1924.

Ayton Charles.W (19th-20th Century) who worked as a sculptor and studied with Dubois and Gauquié in Paris. He exhibited some of his works at the Salon de Paris between 1903 and 1920.

Babcock Jessica-Cady (Active 20th Century) who exhibited a painting at the Salon d'Automne in 1930.

Babcock William P. (1826-1899) who studied painting in Paris with Thomas Couture in 1847. A friend of J-F Millet he died in Bois d'Arcy, France.

Baber Alice (Born in 1928) who exhibited her paintings in Paris in 1961, 1963 and 1970.

Bach Lander (Active 20th Century) who exhibited a painting at the Salon des Artistes Français in 1929.

Bacharach Elise (20th Century) who exhibited her paintings at the Salons of the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts in 1932 and of the Artistes Français in 1933.

Bacher Otto-Henry (1856-1909) who studied painting with Carolus Duran, Boulanger and Lefebvre in Paris.

Bacon Henry (1839-1912) who studied Painting with Cabanel in 1864 and with Edouard Frère in 1867 and 1868. He worked in Paris during several years.
