SOTHEBY'S SALE OF IMPRESSIONIST AND MODERN ART IN NEW YORK Held in New York on October 7, 2008, Sotheby's sale
of Impressionist and Modern Art including Latin American and Russian Art Sale totalled6,435,938
USD, a relatively good score in view of the major financial crisis which shook
the U.S and Europe during the past three weeks.
THE 2008 FIAC AT THE GRAND PALAIS IN PARIS ON OCTOBER 23 The French international
contemporary art fair (FIAC) will open on october 23, 2008 at the Grand
Palais and the Louvre Cour Carrée amidst fears of a fall of activity on
the art market following the American financial crisis that had

Fall 2008 Asian Art Week at Christie's New York between September 15
and 18, 2008 realized $51,142,538, the second highest total ever for
Asian Art Week at Christie's New York. The auctions enjoyed active

OVER 40 MILLION POUNDS FOR DAMIEN HIRST'S SECOND SALE AT SOTHEBY'S Damien Hirst's "Beautiful Inside my head forever" second sale held at Sotheby's in London on September 16, 2008 totalled 40,919,700 pounds. The two sales of the artist's works thus fetched over 110 million pounds, an excellent score in view of the major financial crisis affecting the U.S and Europe.
