SOTHEBY'S SALE OF IMPRESSIONIST AND MODERN ART IN NEW YORK

OVER 40 MILLION POUNDS FOR DAMIEN HIRST'S SECOND SALE AT SOTHEBY'S
Damien Hirst's "Beautiful Inside my head forever" second sale held at Sotheby's in London on September 16, 2008 totalled 40,919,700 pounds. The two sales of the artist's works thus fetched over 110 million pounds, an excellent score in view of the major financial crisis affecting the U.S and Europe.
