'S B I O G R A P H Y : Having dozens of arms to express his art being a painter, scenographer, theatre decorator, framer mad about literature, Zbigniew Wieckowski can be considered as the Leonardo da Vinci Manpower representation or like Vishnu.
Wieckowski travels intensively with his dynamic palette.
Wieckowski forged his talent at the Fine Art Academy of Cracow with prof. Stopka and Taranczwski and then expressed his art in the 1970's in Paris. He inherited some solid know-how background that enabled him to tackle art in all directions.
Following the path of the great masters of the School of Paris, like Kisling, Zawadowski or Mondzain, he settled in his Paris studio and then took part in several exhibitions and scenographies in the French capital confirming his artistic maturity in France, which became his second homeland.

In Wieckowski's abstract-figurative painting, one can sense some Slave sensibility while the purity of his forms come across the worlds of Soutine's substance thickness and Slewinski's way of representing marine paintings. In his large size formats, on can perceive some erotic accents while certain colour constructions demonstrate some metaphysical meaning of his concept as well as some great rigour when it comes to deal with nature.
During his Brazilian period, Wieckowski, who likes to be called Zbitch, has been treating the undiscoverable light with some stunning expression by plunging into hot and exotic landscapes.
Since 1996, he has been participating in a new artistic movement - «decentrism» - by creating solid works enriched with a non-present and absent doctrine because
«decentric» compositions evolve through their additive meaning and towards a narration without limits.
«Zbitch» is a universal painter who belongs at the same time to the spirituual extension of the School of Paris and embodies a rich artistic cocktail between Poland, France and Brazil. Still, Wieckowski remains quite modest in his universe, modesty being the priviledge of great masters.
Since 1997 Wieckowski is invested in the criticism of art and journalism.
