OLD MASTERS FARED RATHER WELL IN LONDON
The Old Master Sales held during the first week of December 2017 in London totaled 58 million GBP altogether at Christie's, Sotheby's and Bonhams showing there was renewing interest in these paintings.
FINE RESULTS AT KETTERER
With total proceeds of around € 25 million and a sales quota of up to 85% by lots, the autumn auction at Ketterer Kunst in Munich realized a solid result with a work by Ernst Wilhelm Nay providing a historic moment.
CHRISTIE'S FARED WELL IN PARIS IN 2017
Christie's Post-War and Contemporary Art Sales in 2017 achieved a combined annual total of €96,553,150 the highest realized in France to date with the December Evening and Day auctions totalling €21,447,000 .
OVER 479 MILLION USD FOR CHRISTIE'S SALE OF IMPRESSIONIST AND MODERN ART
Christie's evening sale of Impressionist and Modern art at Rockefeller Center on November 13, 2017 realized $479.3 million, a total that far exceeded the overall presale estimate of $360 million.
