		SOTHEBY'S IMPRESSIONIST & MODERN ART DAY SALE BRINGS $38.8 MILLION

   Sotheby's sale of Impressionist & Modern art held in New York on November 15,
  2016 brought $ 38.8 million  led by the phenomenal  results for a
  selection of bronze sculptures by Diego Giacometti, which together sold for
  $6.8 million. 
  The Diego group was led by a rare octagonal
  table (Table aux Personnages), which set a new world auction record for the
  artist when it sold  for $3.8 million against a high estimate of 400 000 while
  Francis Picabia's painting titled "Bord de Mer dans le Midi, Effet de
  Soleil" went for 1,932,500 USD against a high estimate of 1.2 million.

  Soutine's " Paysage Aux Toits Rouges" sold for $1,812,500  against a high estimate of 800 000, Pablo Picasso,'s "Tête" (Head),  went
  for $1,392,500 , Henri
  Le Sidaner's " La Table De Pierre Au
  Crépuscule" culminated at $1,332,500 against a high estimate   of 800  000,
  Henry Moore's "Family Group" was hammered down at $ 852,500 and Émile
  Othon Friesz's " Arbres, Automne" (1906) fetched  $ 1,092,500, some $ 450 000 more than its last selling price in 2005.
