An exhibition entitled "Image and transformation in art " was opened in Moscow on January 28th 2000 in the Moscow State Exhibition hall "New Manege". The purpose of such exhibition is to collect together and show works of the Russian artists as well as integrated themes of spiritual searching.
Icons of orthodox sacred art, known artworks of Perov, Polenov, Nesterov and other artists devoted to a religious theme, and also works by modern Russian artists are being shown in this exhibition.
