Glatz, Oszkar
Birth - Death : 1872-1958
Nationality : Hungarian
Glatz was a painter of portraits and genre scenes. He exhibited his works in Munich, Berlin, Paris, Amsterdam, Venice, Rome and San Francisco.
Gleb, (Kalman Yehouda Chaim) Thomas
Birth - Death : 1912-1992
Nationality : Polish
Gleb first studied in a yeshiva and took a keen interest in the Bible. He then secretly wanted to become an artist and managed to study art in Lodz. After settling in France in 1932, he worked as a figurative painter and turned to abstraction around 1957. He also worked as a theatre decorator and produced sculptures and tapestries after 1960. Gleb enlisted in the French Army at the outbreak of the Second World War and then joined the Resistance movement after France's defeat. Meanwhile the Nazis destroyed all his works. Arrested in 1944, he was jailed in Grenoble and in Lyons and managed to escape from a train while being sent to an extermination camp in Poland. Gleb returned to Paris in 1945 and visited Poland and central Europe between 1950 and 1957.

Glickman, Maurice

Nationality : Rumanian then American
Glickman studied painting in 1921 at the Educational Alliance in New York before turning to sculpture and exhibited his works many times there. He was awarded the GuggenHeim Fellowship in 1934 and traveled to England, France and Italy. Glickman founded the School for Art Studies in 1945 New York.

Gluckmann went to Florence and then settled in Paris after 1920. He painted nudes and genre scenes and worked as an illustrator.
Gluckstein Hannah called Gluck
Birth - Death : 1895-1978
Nationality : British
Born into a Jewish family, which owned a chain of commercial stores, Gluckstein decided to become independent and adopted the name of Gluck. She used to dress like a man as she pretended that art was not taking the sex of an artist into account. Much attracted by music and painting, she started her artistic career in the early 1920s and painted theatre-related themes.

Gluska studied at the Avni Institute in Tel Aviv and at the Academy of Beaux-Arts in Paris. He exhibited his abstract works several times in Israel.
Gluskin, Aleksandr

Nationality : Ukrainian
Gluskin studied painting at a private school founded by Yuri Bershadsky in Odessa. He then moved to Moscow and attended Vkhutemas before becoming a member of the New Society of Artists. After working in a Constructivist style he joined the Association of Revolutionary Artists, a group formed to perpetuate Realist style in Soviet art.
