Painter. Born in Mannheim, Germany, he escaped together with his family to France in 1933 shortly after the Nazis had seized power in his native country. His family moved to Palestine in 1935. He took part in over 200 group exhibitions and had at least 60 solo shows in Israel and abroad.

Ilya Ginzburg exhibited his paintings in St. Petersburg and in Paris.
Ginzburg, Moshei Yakovlevich
Birth - Death : 1892-1946
Nationality : Russian
Moshei Ginzburg worked as an architect, theoretician, teacher and engineer and devoted himself to the creation of new types of urban designs to meet socialist needs. As the primary spokesman of Constructivist architecture, he expressed his views through numerous publications and lectures. After graduating in 1914 from the Milan Academy Moshei Ginzberg attended the Riga Polytechnic Institute until 1917 and worked in Crimea from that same year to 1921. After moving to Moscow he headed the faculty of Architectural Theory and the History of Architecture at Vkhutemas and published a significant work titled “Style and Epoch”, laying out the evolving style of Constructivism in architecture. Ginzburg produced designs for five types of prefabricated units during the 1940s and his ideas had a huge impact on modern housing and planning in the Soviet Union.
