Biro studied drawing in Budapest before working as a caricaturist for several periodicals. He settled in Paris in 1932, where he was nicknamed the “Charming Bohemian” and continued to send his caricatures to various French and Hungarian newspapers. During the Second World War Biro Ernest actively campaigned against the Nazis but was arrested by the Gestapo on November 22nd 1943. Detained in Drancy, Biro was then deported on December 7th 1943 to Auschwitz where he was murdered.

Blankenstein exhibited her paintings in various Parisian Salons after studying art at the Academy of Fine Arts of Warsaw. Blankstein presumably died during World War Two.

*Blum-Lazarus, Sophie Birth - Death : 1867-1944 Nationality : German
Blum-Lazarus studied painting in Frankfurt and in Munich. She took an interest in tapestry and exhibited her works in Paris. Arrested there by the Vichy police at the end of World War Two, Blum-Lazarus was deported to a Nazi extermination camp, where she died.

Zofia Bornstein exhibited her paintings at the Salon d'Automne in Paris between 1926 and 1928 and at the Editions Bonaparte gallery in 1929.

Brainin lived in poverty during his youth before going to Palestine, where he spent five years. He came in 1924 to Paris and studied painting and choreography before marrying a Russian ballerina. Branin visited South America in 1931 and then studied at the School of Beaux-Arts in Paris. Working as a decorator in the film industry he was arrested in April 1942 in Paris and detained in Compiegne where he produced some drawings. Branin was deported on September 18th 1942 to Auschwitz where he was murdered.

Joseph Bronstein's main ambition was to become an artist but his parents wanted him instead to become a lawyer. He finally managed to go to Odessa to study painting and took part in the Russian revolution before deciding to pursue his studies in Germany. He then frequented the School of Beaux-Arts in 1924 in Paris and painted portraits and landscapes. A keen collector of works by Kremegne, Indenbaum, Dobrinsky or E. Mandelbaum, Bronstein tried to reach southern France in 1940 but was intercepted by French gendarmes in Chateauroux. Deported on March 3rd 1943 He was murdered in Auschwitz.

Painter. Centnerszwer, who studied painting previously in France, was killed during World War Two in Bialystok with her husband, the composer and music critic Maksymilian. During her ordeal that led to her death she painted three works that were donated around 1950 to the Jewish Historical Institute in Warsaw.

Chajfec worked as an illustrator for some Polish periodicals. He exhibited with the Jewish painters from the ZTKSP group in 1925. Only two of his works, one depicting a fiddler dated 1925 and a scene showing a roving circus painted in 1927, are known. Chajfec disappeared during World War Two.
