Kaantor, Viviane
Birth - Death : 1948-
Nationality : French
Painter. Kaantor produced oil and pastel works in an abstract manner.
Kadar, Bela
Birth - Death : 1877-1956
Nationality : Hungarian
Kadar studied at the Budapest University of Fine Arts in 1902. Four years later, he won considerable acclaim with an exhibition at the Hungarian National Gallery. After showing his works in 1921 with Hugo Scheiber in Budapest, he settled the following year in Berlin, where he exhibited his paintings at the “Der Sturm” gallery until 1930. He returned in 1936 to Budapest and exhibited in the U.S two years later. Kadar, who managed to escape arrest from the Nazis during World War Two, first worked as a naturalist artist and then produced Expressionist works. He also painted some Cubist pieces.
Kadish, Reuben
Birth - Death : 1913-1992
Nationality : Lithuanian then American
Painter, sculptor and lithographer. Kadish's parents moved to the U.S from Lithuania just before World War One. He briefly attended the Otis Institute in California and assisted Mexican master David Alfaro Siqueiros on murals in Southern California. In the late 1930s, Kadish moved to San Francisco to head that city's local mural division of the Federal Art project. During the Second World War he worked as an art correspondent for Life magazine and then settled in New York. Kadish worked on murals with Phillip Goldstein called Guston in 1934, 1935 and 1936 in California and in Mexico.

Kaftori

Kaftori taught art at the Avni Institute in Tel Aviv.
Kagan or Kogan, Abelevna (Aleksandrovna) Hanna or Anna
Birth - Death : 1902-1974
Nationality : Russian
Painter and graphic artist. Kagan studied under Malevich at the School of Art in Vitebsk from 1919 to 1922. She participated in the exhibition of Artists of All Persuasions and several other events. A member of the Unovis group in 1920 she exhibited in Vitebsk, Moscow, Petrograd and Berlin until 1922. Between 1924 and 1925, she assisted Malevich at the Museum of Artistic Culture in Leningrad, where she constructed a series of three-dimensional architectonic pieces. Kagan continued to be involved in abstract art even in the late 1920s when most artists were compelled to work in a Social Realist style. Kagan ceased to exhibit in the 1930s and no information about her later work, if any, has surfaced.

Kahler worked in Paris under the influence of French 19th Century painters and produced works in imitating Gauguin, Van Gogh and Cezanne. He took part in the setting up of the “Blaue Reiter” group in 1911 in Munich.

Kahn left Germany for Britain in 1939 and settled in the U.S a year later. Kahn studied with Hans Hofmann at the University of Chicago in 1950 and then took part in several exhibitions in the U.S and abroad, showing still lives and landscapes.

Kahloun married at 14 and got divorced at 21. After working in an advertising agency and in the clothing sector, she decided to devote her time to painting and exhibited her works in Paris and in Singapore in October 2000.
Kallos, Paul

Nationality : Hungarian
Kallos spent one year as a detainee in a Nazi extermination camp between 1944 and 1945. Surviving the Holocaust, he settled in 1950 in Paris, where he worked as an abstract painter. One of Kallos' works is on display at the Tel Aviv Museum.

Fredrick Kann became an American citizen in 1910. He worked as an abstract painter and as a sculptor. Fredrick Kann was the first American to teach at the Ecole du Louvre in Paris and often exhibited his works there.
