Edouard Manet's 1881 portrait of the actress Jeanne Demarsy in a flowery dress and bonnet titled "Le Printemps"was sold in favour of the Paul Getty Museum by Christie's on November 5, 2014 in New York for  65.1 million US, well above its high estimate of $35 million.
