He visited France between 1929 and 1933 and then exhibited his works in 1933 and 1935 with the Jewish artists of the ZTKSP group. Roman Rozental reportedly perished in Treblinka, but according to other sources he was said to have died in Israel after 1945.

Jean Adler was Jules Adler's nephew. He spent his youth in Paris and frequented the School of Beaux-Arts in 1919. Jean Adler went on to paint portraits, nudes, and landscapes, which he exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Francais between 1922 and 1933. He had his first solo exhibition in 1928 and taught drawing at a school in Villejuif. Jean Adler and his brother were arrested by Gestapo agents on December 12, 1941, and detained in Compiegne before their transfer to Drancy. They were deported on March 27, 1942, to Auschwitz and subsequently killed there.
